Dr Janina Ramirez is a cultural historian, broadcaster and author based at the University of Oxford with a passion for communicating ideas about the past. Janina  is well known in the UK for her television series including recently Saints & Sinners (Britain’s Millennium of Monasteries), Chivalry and Betrayal: The Hundred Years War and many more.

Janina is the Director of the Certificate and Diploma in History of Art at the Department for Continuing Education at the University of Oxford.

Her publications include Julian of Norwich and The Private Lives of Saints.

She has appeared on radio and in teh press on numerous occasions including Decoding the Masterworks a three-part series on BBC Radio 4, examining three great masterworks in fine detail and interviews with BBC History Magazine and Cotswold’s Life
